Character profiles
My music video will have four characters, not including the artist. Here are some short descriptions of these characters explaining the choice of clothing and their personalities.
The Artist (Isabel)
The artist is seen wearing a yellow jumper in the music video. I chose the colour yellow because this colour is associated with happiness and positivity. The artist was once the girl in the narrative so this shows that the artist is happy now and is looking back on what happened unaffected by it.
Tom and Sarah
In terms of costume Tom is seen to wear grey clothing throughout the music video, next to him Sarah is seen wearing a bright red shirt. This could signify that throughout their relationship Sarah has had a strong amount of love for Tom but Tom has not, and Sarah doesn't realise this until things start to turn sour in the relationship. Red is also a colour associated with love. Tom starts to show his lack of interest and commitment to the relationship in the music video as time changes, for example going on his phone whenever they are together ect. Sarah is someone who is hopeful and puts up with things in the hope that it will get better, until one day she can't take it anymore.
Millie and Emily
Millie and Emily are Sarah's best friends. These two characters are seen wearing red throughout the music video. Red is an intense colour that can have connotations of anger and danger. This represents the fact that these two friends are negative people in Sarah's life. Their friendship with Sarah becomes bullying and they slowly leave her out over time. This is shown by the transitions of the three of them happy together and then it changing to Sarah becoming left out.
